Another great year at MN NBHA State Finals - thank you all for coming. We had lots of fun the whole weekend but think the highlight was the 'crap cart' races on Saturday night. Short Go was unbelieveable - first horse out which was the slowest qualifying time ran the fastest time of the day to win the MN 1D Open Championships. We paid out $49,411.21 in cash and prizes. A record $13,000.00 was added this year.

State finals went great and had a good turnout. Everyone seemed to enjoy the early start on Friday. We were finished every night by 7pm. We had $10,500. added money this year - everyone was pleased with that.
DEADLINE TO ENTER THE STATE FINALS IS AUGUST 1ST, 2010.
AVOID THE LATE FEE - GET YOUR ENTRIES IN NOW. CHECKS WON'T BE CASHED UNTIL AUGUST 1ST!!!
2010 STATE FINALS FORMS ARE NOW ON-LINE UNDER THE STATE FINALS IN THE EVENTS.
Red Horse Ranch Waiver must be sent in with your registration. Also there are two pages to the registration and the rules so make sure you see all the pages. Registration must be in to the state director by August 1st to avoid late fees. There are only 250 stalls so late entries will probably be stalled on the concrete in the temporary stall area.

The Minnesota State NBHA Finals are on August 20, 21 & 22, 2010 at Red Horse Ranch Arena in Fergus Falls.
CHANGES FOR 2010:
* We are starting the OPEN 4D 'first go' on Friday, August 20th at 1:00pm. It has gotten too late in previous years so we are starting early this year.
* There is no mandatory $25 individual sponsor fee this year.
* You may purchase a chance for a 'wild card' to the short go this year. Before the first horse runs on Friday, you may purchase a ticket for $20 for horse/rider combination. Then after the short go is posted on Saturday night, we will draw four tickets for a wild card to the short go. If your name/horse is drawn and you are already in the short go, that will be thrown out and we will keep drawing until we have FOUR combinations that already aren't in the short go. You may purchase as many chances as you like. All money will go toward added money. This is for the OPEN 4D only.
* Peewees are 8 and under and may not be entered in the open or youth. There will be participation awards only.
* There are no futurity or derby sidepots this year.
* There will be no calcutta this year.
* You will be able to check in Thursday if you want - there will be some open arena and exhibition. Check-in will also be on Friday morning. Times etc. will be posted later.
